HEK293T cells

The HEK293T is a highly transfectable cell line derivative of human embryonic kidney 293 cells and containing the SV40 T-antigen. It is commonly used for production of retroviral, lentiviral and other viral vectors using the transient transfection method.



Nanocin-plasmid™ is a novel transfection reagent dedicated to the efficient and non-toxic transfection into a range of mammalian cells, including primary cells and other sensitive cells. It provides high transfection efficiency even at low concentration and its use is easy, simple and fast, as shown the following protocol.

Efficient transfection and low toxicity

Nanocin-plasmid™ allows efficient transfection within the HEK293T cells, with low toxicity as shown on the following images of single pEGFP transfection. This make Nanocin-plasmid™ a tool of interest for multiple transfections, and therefore for AAV production which requires a triple plasmid transfection in the HEK293T cell line.
