Tecrea Ltd is proud to announce its selection for the latest cohort of the Accelerating FemTech programme, funded by Innovate UK and the Medical Research Council, and delivered by the Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London in collaboration with partners across the UK. This prestigious 10-week national programme is designed to advance women’s health innovations through tailored support, expert-led workshops, and dedicated mentoring.

Women make up over 51% of the population but have long been underrepresented in medical research and underserved in healthcare innovation. This disparity has contributed to significant gaps in diagnosis, treatment, and care. FemTech solutions aim to bridge these gaps by driving systemic change and promoting equitable, accessible healthcare for women – ultimately strengthening the entire health system.

As part of the Accelerating FemTech programme, Tecrea Ltd will focus on developing a formulation to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs), a condition that disproportionately affects women. Additionally, this opportunity will also enhance expertise in product development, entrepreneurship, and stakeholder engagement within the NHS and academic sectors.
